What is AWANA?

What is Awana?

Awana is a global, nonprofit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact for Christ starts with kids who know, love and serve Him. Awana gives kids from every background and cultural setting a place to belong, build confidence and grow in faith.

Awana is a ministry with fully integrated evangelism and long-term discipleship programs for ages 2 to 18 that actively involves parents and church leaders. Each week, more than 3.7 million children and youth, 470,000 volunteers and 260 field staff take part in Awana in over 47,000 churches around the world. Offered through local churches, Awana reaches kids where they”™re at and walks alongside them in their faith journey.

Cross Road Christian Fellowship is one of thousands of churches across the country that is using the ministry of Awana to teach the next generation of disciples of Christ.

Cross Road Christian Fellowship’s Awana Clubs meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Our ministry serves preschool (ages 3-4) through middle school age kids (grades 7-8). Club meeting nights follow the Gilmer County School System calendar, beginning the first Wednesday after Labor Day in September and ending the Wednesday before the last week of school in May.
