Hindrances to Joy ”“ Imprisonment
Philippians 1:7 (NASB)
7 For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me.
Philippians 1:11-20 (NASB)
11 having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. 12 Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, 13 so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to everyone else, 14 and that most of the brethren, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear. 15 Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will;
16 the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; 17 the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice,
19 for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
Hindrances to Joy ”“ People
Philippians 2:1-5 (NASB)
1 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2 make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for
your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
Romans 12:18 (NASB)
18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

Philippians 4:10-13 (NASB)
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. 13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Whatever imprisonment is in your life, be confident in this;
“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in me will perfect it until the day of
Christ Jesus”. Philippians 1:6
Whatever strength you need in dealing with other people, remember;
“I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.” NASB Philippians 4:13
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything
through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ sufficiency].
AMP Philippians 4:13
Things, things, things;
“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus”.
Philippians 4:19
Whatever circumstances we”™re in, remember;
“For it is God who is at work in you both to will and work for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13
